Purile fun

In an effort to entertain and promote what t'internet was clearly designed for - please enjoy Buffalax' Indian interpretation:

Post vacances post

Back from a couple of weeks chez la famille. Sun and Congac is always a welcome place from, pretty much anything really. But NOW, we are both in Laaaandaaaaan, and going about the busy proccess of sending unreturned emails and speaking to peoples voicemails, all with the industious attitude of a couple of soldier ants/worker bees (maybe one of each).
It's a far cry from the sandy shores of Falmouth, but glorious to know that we can make proper headway towards our goal...A real job. A sad ambition when you actually see it written down in front of you, but certainly a healthy one.
Huzzah! onwards and upwards.

All about the Benjamins?

Have to mention Dave Trott's blog today. Only started reading it fairly recently, and am really enjoying it. That guy has an absoloutly bottomless bucket of stories, ready to pull out at any relevant moment. Today's one struck a chord as I'm sure it has with every other student/struggling creative out there. The importance of the fun/money ratio was discussed.

Being extremely poor and debt ridden it is hard to ever feel that we could be doing all this for the money and it's nice to be reminded how fun the job is - the real reason we're doing it. We'll never be millionaires. Even if it'll be a while before we can do anything without having to scour the globe for the cheapest possible option, at least we can have fun while we wait...can't we?

Contextual Review Blues

Bleh!!

Ever tried writing 5000 words on a campaign you're already sick at the sight of? Well don't bother, it's actually less fun than it sounds. Doing just about anything to put off the inevitable typing. Even blogging.

Hey hum. Will be all officially done on Friday, without the 'student' umbrella to hide under, we'll just be unemployed. Bring it on.

Another one bites the dust.

Bye bye LunarBBDO. Sure that everyone else with be making pretty much the same post but worth noting nonetheless. Always a shame to see a good ad blog stop so abrublty. They are a vital source of info for us aspiring young creatives and we learn a hell of a lot from them. They also give us a great excuse to faff around each morning, putting off starting work while we drink more coffee.

Toast fun

Another example of the strange things you find yourself doing in the name of advertising. Burning stuff on toast for a postcard flyer for the bar I work in. We're getting a free jukebox and want people to choose what tuuuuuunes they want innit.
The bar is called, you guessed it; Toast. If you're ever in Falmouth I insist that you visit. It's wicked.
